Middleton Reutlinger offers extensive experience in the defense of workers’ compensation claims. The firm represents several insurance carriers and self-insured employers, servicing all facets of defense of a claim.
Middleton Reutlinger’s experience encompasses the full spectrum of a client’s needs, whether it be simple advice on preliminary matters, the presentation of medical evidence and legal defenses in a formal hearing before an administrative law judge, or the appeal of decisions through the appellate courts.
The firm’s strengths include its statewide practice before all of the administrative law judges as well as attorneys who have formed and managed Third Party Administrators. This “hands on” experience enables Middleton Reutlinger to stay updated on current developments in the law and provides an invaluable understanding of the day-to-day administrative practice of workers’ compensation law.
Middleton Reutlinger also offers a wide range of services regarding occupational safety and health practices. Specifically, our attorneys offer consultation concerning safety and health standards and programs required by OSHA, including noise/hearing tests, asbestos screening and blood borne pathogen requirements. The firm’s experience enables a client to avoid protracted litigation because of its long-standing working relationship with the Kentucky OSHA Division of Compliance. Middleton Reutlinger prides itself in its ability to negotiate and work with the Compliance Division to achieve a satisfactory resolution of an OSHA dispute, but is also capable of litigating claims before the OSHA Review Commission for a final determination, if necessary. The ability to provide assistance with every aspect of a potential workers’ compensation claim or OSHA citation is one of this firm’s greatest strengths.
Middleton Reutlinger assists Jefferson Co. Public Schools in matters related to employment, facilities, workers’ compensation and special education.
